Hello! My name is Anastasija Altmann, and I’m an independent illustrator and author based in Berlin.
I create illustrations and visual stories for children’s books, magazines and editorial projects. I work with both my own stories and commissioned texts and create illustrations for fiction,nonfiction and other formats.
My work is intentionally diverse: I combine digital illustration with traditional techniques such as gouache, watercolor, acrylic, oil, colored pencil, pastel and collage. Depending on the project, I work on paper, canvas or screen, always looking for the visual approach that best fits the story.
I hold a degree in Animation from the Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF and have been working professionally in illustration and visual storytelling for over 8 years.
